Question 1

What exactly is Samura Consulting Group?

Accepted Answer

Samura Consulting Group is the UAE-facing strategy and consulting brand of Altix Codeit - an IITian-backed technology company with over three years of operation, 50+ team members, and 40+ products delivered. Samura leads client relationships and business consulting. Altix Codeit provides the engineering and delivery bench behind every technology recommendation we make.

Question 2

What is the relationship between Samura and Altix Codeit?

Accepted Answer

Samura is the consulting brand; Altix Codeit is the engineering firm. They are part of the same group. When you engage Samura, you get both - strategic consulting from IIM-trained advisors and technology delivery from IIT-trained engineers. You do not need to coordinate between two separate vendors.

Question 3

Where is Samura based?

Accepted Answer

Samura's client-facing operations are based in Dubai, UAE. Our engineering and delivery team operates from Kolkata and Bangalore, India, through Altix Codeit. This gives UAE clients access to top-tier Indian engineering talent - IIT-trained, production-experienced - at economics that reflect the India delivery model.

Question 4

Why are your engineers based in India rather than Dubai?

Accepted Answer

This is a deliberate strategic choice, not a cost-cutting measure. IIT-trained engineers represent some of the most rigorously selected technical talent in the world - accepted at a lower rate than MIT or Stanford. Building the delivery bench in India means our clients get that calibre of engineering at a price point that makes large-scale technology programmes viable. Our client relationship and strategic consulting functions are Dubai-based.

Question 5

Do you automate internal work and functions, or only build products?

Accepted Answer

Both. SaaS & AI Engineering is for products and platforms you ship. AI Automation is a dedicated practice for the work inside the business - operations, finance, customer service, reporting, and document-heavy workflows. We map how the function actually runs, then automate the repeatable steps with human checkpoints on high-risk decisions.

Question 6

How do engagements typically start?

Accepted Answer

Every engagement starts with a 60-minute discovery call - no charge, no obligation. We use that call to understand your situation, assess whether we are genuinely the right fit, and outline what an engagement could look like. If the fit is right, we produce a scoped proposal within 5 business days.

Question 7

What does a typical engagement cost?

Accepted Answer

We do not publish fixed pricing because engagements vary significantly in scope. Project-based engagements typically start from AED 25,000. Retainer arrangements are priced based on the time commitment and seniority of consultant involved. We discuss pricing transparently in the scoping conversation - no hidden fees and no scope creep without explicit agreement.

Question 8

How long do engagements typically run?

Accepted Answer

Project-based engagements typically run 6 to 16 weeks depending on scope. Retainer arrangements are structured monthly with a minimum 3-month commitment. Technology delivery projects are scoped individually based on product complexity - typically 3 to 9 months for a full SaaS or mobile product.

Question 9

Who will I actually work with day to day?

Accepted Answer

A named senior consultant from Samura is assigned to every engagement from kickoff. That person is your primary point of contact throughout. For technology delivery, a named delivery lead from Altix Codeit is assigned as well. You will never be handed from one person to another mid-engagement without your agreement.

Question 10

Do you sign NDAs?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We sign mutual NDAs before any meaningful business discussion. Confidentiality is standard - we treat client information with the same discretion we would expect if the roles were reversed.

Question 11

What does IIT and IIM-trained actually mean?

Accepted Answer

The Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) are India's most selective educational institutions. IIT acceptance rates are below 2% - more selective than MIT, Stanford, or Oxbridge. IIM acceptance rates for flagship programmes are similarly competitive. The credentials represent a specific standard of analytical rigour, not just a badge.

Question 12

Will I work with senior consultants or junior analysts?

Accepted Answer

Senior consultants only. We do not operate a pyramid model where senior people sell and juniors deliver. The consultant you meet in the discovery call is the consultant who leads your engagement. We keep our client roster intentionally limited to maintain this standard.

Question 13

How large is the team?

Accepted Answer

Samura's consulting team is intentionally small and senior. The broader Altix Codeit group - which backs every technology engagement - has 50+ engineers, product managers, and specialists across Kolkata and Bangalore.

Question 14

How do you handle client confidentiality in case studies?

Accepted Answer

All case studies on this site are either published with explicit client permission or anonymised - we identify the sector and city but not the company name. We never publish client information without consent, and we never use client work as a portfolio reference without the client's knowledge.

Question 15

What happens if a project does not go as planned?

Accepted Answer

We address problems directly and early. If a project is tracking off-course, we flag it in writing, explain the cause, and propose a remediation plan - we do not wait until a deadline is missed. Our engagements include defined milestone reviews precisely so problems can be caught and corrected before they compound.

Question 16

Can you work with businesses outside the UAE?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Our primary focus is the UAE and GCC market, but we have worked with clients in the UK, India, and Southeast Asia. Our UAE and GCC expertise is the strongest differentiator we offer, but the consulting and engineering capability is not geography-limited.

Question 17

How do I get started?

Accepted Answer

Book a discovery call using the link at the top of this page. It takes two minutes to schedule and costs nothing. We will come prepared, listen carefully, and give you an honest assessment of whether and how we can help.
